This precision crafted Disperser allows you to mix, disperse and
emulsify
in quantities from a 100 CC's, up to
2-3 gallons. Ultra high speed, and a choice of impellers, rotor/stator
attachment, and media mill attachment
Makes this a versatile piece of equipment that every laboratory needs.
The standard machine comes with a Cowles style open sawtooth impeller,
with optional impeller sizes from
1" up to 2.5". Options include mechanical tachometer, mix container
holder,
and even a digital feedback electronic
speed controller for constant speed.
The Variac type control shown in picture works fine for most
applications,
but due to the motor characteristics,
as the product viscosity changes, the motor speed will vary inversely
with
viscosity changes. The optional
digital feedback speed controller senses changes in motor
speed
and adjusts the power to
the motor accordingly, to hold the speed constant at the level you
selected.
Specifications :
Motor: open type motor, generates 1 HP @ 10,000 RPM
Speed range: approximately 100-16,000 RPM
Disperser shaft: 304 Stainless Steel, 3/4" diameter by 12.5" long
Impellers: Cowles style sawtooth, 1", 1.25", 1.5", 2", and 2.5". 2" is standard
Stand: 16 pound cast iron base, and 1" diameter by 36" long aluminum support rod
Controller: 15 amp variable transformer is standard.
Options:
Mechanical tachometer, 2000-16,000 RPM (to be replaced with digital tach when available)
Mix container holder, to secure small containers when mixing
Digital feedback speed controller, with digital tachometer
Rotor Stator attachment, with 1.1" rotor.
Medial mill attachment, shaft with three 1.75" discs for media milling
